Talk it through

What each plan really costs

Same machine, three ways to pay for it. The right-hand column is the one to look at.

Ironwood C60 Combo, refurbished, listed at $3,100.
PlanUp frontMonthlyMonthsTotal paid
Pay in full$3,0070$3,007
12 months, no interest$310$23212$3,100
36 month lease to own$310$10336$4,018

The 36 month plan costs about $900 more. That can still be the right call if the lower payment is what lets you buy three machines instead of one, because three placed machines out-earn the difference in a year. It is the wrong call if you are using it to buy a machine you cannot yet place.

What we need to approve you

For the twelve month plan, which is what most people start on.

  • Photo ID and your business entity name
  • Three months of bank statements, personal is fine
  • An EIN, or a social security number if you are a sole proprietor
  • A delivery address that a 53 foot trailer can reach
  • The deposit, which is ten percent of the order

We do not ask for a business plan, projections or proof of your locations. Plenty of lenders in this industry do, and we think it is theatre.

Freight, by zone

Charged at cost from our dock in Louisville. One machine, kerbside.

  • Zone 1, within 300 miles$180 to $240
  • Zone 2, Midwest and Southeast$240 to $360
  • Zone 3, Northeast and Plains$360 to $480
  • Zone 4, Mountain and West Coast$480 to $640
  • Liftgate, any zone$95
  • Second machine, same shipmentRoughly half again, not double

Alaska and Hawaii quoted separately. We do not currently ship outside the United States.

The warranty, in plain terms

Six months from the delivery date, on every machine we sell, new or refurbished. It is the same cover either way, which is unusual in this trade and deliberate on our part.

  • Boards, motors, coils, compressors and card readers, all covered
  • We ship the part next day and you fit it, with us on the phone
  • If it cannot be fixed on a call, we pay the freight both ways
  • Glass, paint and vandalism are not covered, and never are anywhere

What we will not do

Worth knowing before you buy rather than after.

  • Guarantee you any level of sales, in writing or on a call
  • Find your locations for you, though we will tell you how
  • Buy machines back once they have left our dock
  • Sell you a machine when you tell us you have nowhere to put it

Payment questions

The ones the finance desk gets most.

Do you run a hard credit check?

Only on the 36 month plan, and only once you tell us to go ahead. The 12 month plan uses a soft check that leaves no mark on your file.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Call us before the date, not after. We can move a payment once in any twelve months at no cost. If we do not hear from you, a missed payment adds a $35 fee and gets reported on the 36 month plan.

Can I pay it off early?

Yes, on any plan, with no penalty and no interest for the remaining months. Around a third of our 36 month customers clear the balance inside two years.

Do you finance the freight and the first fill?

Freight can go on the 12 and 36 month plans. Product cannot, because we do not sell it. Budget $180 to $320 per machine in cash for your first fill.

I have no business credit yet. Am I wasting my time?

No. Most first-time operators have none. The 12 month plan is built for exactly that and looks at your bank statements rather than a business file.

Is a lease better than buying outright for tax?

It depends entirely on your situation and we are not accountants, so we will not pretend otherwise. Ask yours about Section 179 before you decide, because the answer changes what plan makes sense.

Find out what you would pay

Tell us the machine and we will send the three options side by side, with the freight to your zip code already in the numbers. No application needed to see it.
